Legislative Luncheon

This year's Legislative Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, September 26th, 2012 from 11:30am - 1:00pm. We will be meeting at the Johnny Harris Banquet building, next to the restaurant, at 1651 East Victory Drive.  Several of our local legislators have already confirmed. 

Our speakers this year will be

• Dr. Bernita Berry, for NASW,
• Diane Reeder for NAMI, and
• Dr. Frank Bonati, for Gateway Behavioral Health Services

Attendance will be $15.00 at the door, and includes a fantastic lunch.

August Luncheon

Ms. Cheryl Branch, Executive Director, Savannah Area Family Emergency Shelter will be presenting a talk on domestic violence.  

She will be focusing on therapeutic interventions for working with the victim, batterer, and children who are reactive to the extreme trauma from abuse.  We will also be discussing domestic violence resources available in the shelter, along with implications of temporary protective orders. 

This presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 22, 2012.  Please reserve your lunch order by Thursday, August 16.  Orders for lunch will be placed on Friday, August 17, 2012.
